Overview
SUNY Oneonta’s Queer and Trans Studies minor allows students to specialize in critical gender and sexuality studies with a focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, trans, two-spirit, and intersex people, experiences, communities, politics, and cultural production in intersectional and interdisciplinary perspectives. The minor examines how normative constructions around gender, sex, and sexuality are policed, regulated, and contested, and how they intersect with race, class, nation, and disability, as well as other axes of power and difference.
